Responsible for performing test analysis and inspections of breakers, relays, transformers and other equipment. In this role or as a Field Service Technician you will lead and perform inspection, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and start-up of low and medium voltage electrical distribution equipment, including breakers, transformers, switches, switchgear, relays, and motor control centers, as well as other electrical apparatus both in the field and in a shop environment. An understanding of sophisticated electrical distribution systems as well as the use of complex electrical test equipment is required. You will contribute to a safe working environment for co-workers and customers and help ensure the overall success of projects. Local, regional, and national travel is required, ability to travel internationally is preferred.

  • Participate in project status meetings
  • Computer and iPad proficiency
  • Software and program usage: Excel, InfraLink (Job Connect), Word, AutoCad (desired but not required), Bluebeam, MS Teams
  • Lead testing activities with minimal supervision
  • Analyzing commissioning test results and recording in Infralink
  • Lead a team in testing a complete electrical module or combination of skids.
  • Ability to perform testing and configuration of meters and network systems: EPMS or BAS systems
  • Review NETA test reports as needed
  • Ability to test use the following test equipment: Omicron Relay Test Set
  • Assisting in developing testing scripts and commissioning plans
  • Leading and participation in ORM (Operational Risk Management) meetings
  • Understand and implement all necessary safety protocols

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Years of service is a typical guideline and not an automatic milestone for advancement. A specialist who demonstrates their knowledge and expertise at a particular level may be advanced by the commissioning engineering managers to the specialist's appropriate level of performance.
  • 8+ years of experience with a High School diploma

  • Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time.
